Welcome to Rye College

Dear new Year 7 students and families,

Welcome to Rye College! We are so pleased you are now part of our amazing school!

To start your journey with us, we have created this special 'transition webpage'.

We will be in touch with you and your family soon about what to do next - and there will be plenty of opportunities to answer all your questions.

Rye College is a very safe and welcoming school. All our students were Year 7 students once so they know how you feel.

Our school is a place where you can be yourself, quickly make friends and feel part of our family.

We know this is the start of your bright future!

Mr P Harrison
Director for Learning for Key Stage 3

Transition Events

We are busy planning our Transition programme where we invite students into school for activities. This is taking place from Monday 4th - Wednesday 6th July. This week gives students a great opportunity to familiarise themselves with our school, meet our team, make new friends and to start the preparation for the educational change that is before them. Our activities centre around our core Rye College character values of Proud, Positive, Employable, Kind and Committed and gives students a fantastic opportunity to develop positive relationships with their peers and our team.

Please can all families complete this short online questionnaire with arrangements for students joining us for Transition.

We ran a Transition Q & A Webinar for Year 6 families via Zoom on Thursday 23rd June at 6pm with Mr Downes, Headteacher and Mr Harrison, Director of KS3 Learning and Transition Lead. Please click on this link to register and access a recording of the webinar and enter password: rMp^h7.=

Please see a list of all questions that were asked during the Welcome Webinar with answers:
