On July 5th we took 45 students to Dover Castle.

In the midst of a dismal summer, we were blessed with sunshine! We started the day with a tour of the Underground Hospital, followed by workshops on ‘Secret Codes & Cyphers’, delivered by ‘Wren Perkins’ and ‘Knights, Banquets and Garderobes’, from ‘Lady DeMontfort’. Both characters were played by our wonderful guide Debbie, who slipped effortlessly from role to role, delivering fascinating, historically accurate lessons. The day was helped along thanks to the expert knowledge of our Humanities department guests, Mrs Murphy & Mr Cload.

Our students were, as always, a credit to Rye College.
