Rye College pupils and staff have been busy making up Christmas Shoeboxes to be sent to poor families and elderly people living in Romania, Moldova, the Ukraine, Bulgaria and Syrian refugees living in Bulgaria.

The shoeboxes are filled with items such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, sweets, gloves and small toys and every shoebox received will make such a difference to the recipient this Christmas.

Sue Cavilla from the charity Link to Hope said how pleased she was with the response from Rye College to the appeal and thanked Miss Westbrook the staff, pupils and parents for their generous and enthusiastic support.
