Rye College would like to extend our grateful thanks to Mr Alan Crouch and Rush, Witt and Wilson for their generous sponsorship of our Sports Ambassador programme this academic year.  Their excellent support has enabled us to reward all of our Sports Ambassadors with unique “Sports Ambassador shirts” which they wear with pride when performing their role.

Rye College Sports Ambassadors are the most outstanding sports leaders in our school. They are selected, following an extensive written application and interview process.  They are chosen because of their sporting talent, and more importantly, their exceptional commitment and ability as young leaders and volunteers.
The Rye College Sports Ambassador programme seeks to develop our students further by providing them with the responsibility of being an ambassador for PE and School Sport. The role is held in high esteem and the students form a vital link between fellow pupils, teachers, our School Games Organiser, Mr Lovell, and local Primary Schools and their pupils.

A Sports Ambassador's role is to:
•    increase participation and healthy lifestyles in Rye College
•    promote the positive values of sport in and through sport
•    be a role model in advocating PE and school sport within the college and Rye Sports cluster
•    be the young people's voice on PE and school sport in Rye College and the local community
•    support the delivery of our extensive programme of competitive sports competitions run for our Partner Primary Schools
•    support the delivery of intra and inter school sport in Rye College

John Lovell (Rye College School Games Organiser)
