Year 5 students from Brede Primary School came to Rye College to experience STEM with Mr Kemm last week. They spent 2 sessions building, repairing and flying model gliders made out of balsawood and polystyrene sheet.

They had a splendid time learning how to build with the materials, how gliders fly and how to trim them to get the best flight possible.

All of the students said they loved it and were thrilled to take their gliders home with them.

Next week we'll be learning how to program BBC micro:bit microcontrollers.
