A huge congratulations goes to Amie in Year 7 who has won a competition run by The Royal British Legion. The competition involved four schools and students were asked to design a badge for Remembrance Sunday.

Amie attended the winners ceremony in the holidays and on Tuesday 6th November she appeared at her local Sainsbury's who are selling them to raise money. Amie's design won over the entire county and hopefully the badge will be for sale in all Sainsbury's throughout the Kent region.

Amie's winning design (above) included purple poppies (changed from the traditional red) to represent all of the animals who died alongside soldiers during the war. Also pictured on the badge is a little girl standing beside a soldier.

Well done to Amie from everyone at Rye College!
