On Thursday 12th March Rye College hosted the annual Level 1 Hi-5 Netball Tournament for their local cluster Primary schools.

The event was well attended by Rye, St Michael's Playden, Peasmarsh and Beckley. Mrs Starkey organised the tournament as a round robin, so each school got to play each other. There were some very close and exciting games, and also some excellent team spirit and sportsmanship displayed. Congratulations to all teams involved, and thank you to teachers, coaches and parents for supporting the children.

Peasmarsh were the eventual winners; retaining their title from last year. They go on to the the level 2 finals at St Leonard's Academy on Monday 16th March and we would like to wish them the best of luck.

The tournament would not have run so smoothly and successfully had it not been for our fantastic student volunteers: Ruby and Dec on the scoring, Pearl and Grace on the timing, and Freya, Freya and Tayla who umpired all 6 games. A huge well done and thank you to all of these students as they were fantastic ambassadors for Rye College.
