The Stormont Awards are an annual event run by the Trustees of Rye Art Gallery. This year, the theme was 'FISH' which was very exciting and conjured up a lot of fantastic work from our students! Out of over 300 entries, 25 were selected by the Art Department to be submitted to the competition. These 25 artworks will be exhibited in Rye Art Gallery over this weekend - a real honour and an exceptional achievement! These 25 entries have been judged alongside entries from other local schools by a panel including Louis Turpin, Dani Humberstone and Jane Fenn. A Winner, Second Place and 3 Highly Commended works have been chosen from each Key Stage. On Saturday 4th November at 2.00pm, there will be a Prizegiving Ceremony where the winners will be announced by the Mayor of Rye Jonathan Breeds. Well done to everyone who took part - the standard of work was exceptionally high and it was a difficult task to choose just 25 from the amazing entries that we had!
